How it works

The active component of this medicine is Sildenafil belongs to a drug family called phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works sensationally by blocking PDE5. Usage guidelines

Use Suhagra® as advised by your doctor.

Take a tablet by mouth. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.

When using the medication for erectile dysfunction, take it only once in 24 hours.

It is better if you take the dose on an empty stomach.

The drug may lose its efficacy if you take it with fatty foods.

When using Suhagra® to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, follow all the instructions of your doctor on the dosage amount and intake.

Avoid consuming alcohol or grapefruit juice/grapefruit while on Suhagra® tablets as this may alter the way this medicine works.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose of this medicine you should take it as soon as you remember. If it is the time for the next dose you should continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not exceed the doctor’s recommended dose.


If an overdose occurs and you are feeling unwell, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Side effects

The most common side effects of Suhagra® are:

  • aches or pains in the muscles
  • diarrhea
  • difficult or labored breathing
  • flushing
  • headache
  • pain or tenderness around the eyes
  • redness of the skin
  • sneezing
  • stuffy or runny nose
  • trouble sleeping
  • flushing

Less common side effects include:

Side effect occurrence does not only depend on the medication you are taking but also on your overall health and other factors.


Do not take Suhagra® if you have a known hypersensitivity to Sildenafil or any other ingredients contained in the preparation.

Do not use this medication if you are also taking a nitrate medicine, often used to treat angina or high blood pressure. Nitrate medicines include nitroglycerin, isosorbide and also some drugs called ‘poppers’ (such as amyl nitrate, butyl nitrate, or nitrite).

Do not take this medicine if you also use riociguat (Adempas®) to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Do not take Viagra® or other PDE5 inhibitors, such as tadalafil (Cialis®) or vardenafil (Levitra®).


Tell your doctor if you have any other health problems, especially:

  • Abnormal penis, including a curved penis or birth defects of the penis.
  • Angina (severe chest pain).
  • Irregular heartbeat (within the last 6 months).
  • Blood vessel problems (e.g., aortic stenosis, idiopathic subaortic stenosis).
  • High or low blood pressure.
  • An inherited eye disorder called retinitis pigmentosa.
  • Coronary artery disease.
  • Bleeding disorders.
  • Stomach ulcer.
  • Kidney or liver disease.
  • Leukemia, multiple myeloma or sickle cell anemia.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
