About Junior Lanzol®

Rating of sales:

Junior Lanzol® is manufactured by Cipla. This medication comes in a form of orally disintegrating tablets and acts by reducing the amount of gastric acid produced in the stomach. The active ingredient of Junior Lanzol® is Lansoprazole, an acid proton pump inhibitor of antisecretory compounds class.

- symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) characterized by heartburn (acid indigestion), chest pain, dysphagia, dry cough, and acid reflux;

- erosive esophagitis due to GERD;

- healing and risk reduction of gastric ulcers due to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) therapy;

- healing and maintenance of the healed duodenal or benign gastric ulcers;

- reduction in the occurrence of peptic ulcers in patients suffering from Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection and peptic ulcer disease (in combination with antibiotics);

- gastric acid hypersecretory conditions, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

MOA (mechanism of action):

Lansoprazole reduces gastric acid production by specifically inhibiting (H+,K+)-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. By this action, it suppresses the activity of the acid proton pump and blocks the final step of gastric acid formation. Lansoprazole also has potent activity towards Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori) bacteria.

Junior Lanzol® is for oral use only.

Junior Lanzol® should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals, preferably in the morning.

The exact dosage as well as course duration should be indicated by your doctor.
