About Prilox® Cream

Rating of sales:

Description

Prilox® Cream is produced by Neon. The active ingredients are Lidocaine and Prilocaine, local anesthetics used to produce a temporary loss of sensation on the area where the drug is applied.

Indications:

- topical anesthesia to prevent pain associated with injections (inserting needle under skin), blood sampling (the drawing of blood from a vein), minor surgical procedures (e.g., removing genital warts), cleansing or removal of damaged skin of leg ulcers.

MOA (mechanism of action):

Lidocaine and Prilocaine are amide-type local anesthetics that produce analgesic effects. They both stabilize neuronal membranes and provide local anesthetic action by inhibiting the ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of impulses that deliver pain signals to the brain.

Lidocaine has a beneficial effect on delaying ejaculation. That is why it can be used in a form of spray by individuals with PE (premature ejaculation), as it desensitizes the head of a penis allowing man prolong sexual activity.
