About Malegra® DXT

Description

Malegra® DXT is produced by Sunrise Remedies. This medication is based on the action of two selective inhibitors: Sildenafil Citrate, a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, and Duloxetine, a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). Malegra® DXT has a rapid action noticeable after the first use and doesn't cause a dependence.

Indications:

- erectile dysfunction or male impotence, a condition where a man cannot achieve and sustain erection;

- prematurity of ejaculation (PE), a condition when ejaculation occurs too rapidly (within 1 minute after penetration).

Sildenafil is approved for the treatment of PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension).

MOA (mechanism of action):

Sildenafil usually breaks down enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 and results in release of cGMP in the penis. An increased level of cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles and improves blood flow inducing an erection. Duloxetine inhibits serotonin reuptake, thereby increasing its amount exponentially in the blood. It’s action at the postsynaptic cleft increases thereby preventing premature ejaculation.

Dosage

Malegra® DXT pills can be taken with or without food.

Swallow a pill whole with a drink of water.

Take one pill of Malegra® DXT orally 1 hour prior sexual activity.

Precautions:

Malegra® DXT does not protect you or your partner from sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV) or from pregnancy.

Take Malegra® DXT tablet not more than once every 24 hours.

It should only be taken when sexual activity is anticipated and is not intended as a regular treatment that is taken each day.

Missing a dose

Malegra® DXT is used only when needed, therefore missed dosages are not relevant. Do not exceed the doctor's recommended dose. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

If you take an overdose of Malegra® DXT, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.

Side effects

The most common side effects associated with Malegra® DXT are:

• dizziness
• headache
• feeling sick
• anxiety, irritability, restlessness or agitation
• difficulty concentrating
• difficulty sleeping
• feeling tired or sleepy
• yawning
• tremor
• tinnitus
• blurred vision
• sinus congestion
• upset stomach
• indigestion, flatulence and dry mouth
• excessive sweating
• flushing

Side effect occurrence does not only depend on medication you are taking, but also on your overall health and other factors.

Contraindications

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you are allergic to Sildenafil, Duloxetine, other PDE-5 inhibitors (Tadalafil, Vardenafil, Udenafil), other SNRIs or to any of the medication's components.

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you have taken recreational drugs such as ecstasy (MDMA), ketamine, LSD, poppers (amyl nitrate), narcotics or benzodiazepines.

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you are taking other medications, including erythromycin, alpha-blockers, antifungal medications (ketoconazole and itraconazole), medications for HIV (ritonavir, saquinavir, nelfinavir and atazanavir), certain antibiotics (telithromycin), alprazolam (Xanax), anticoagulants (warfarin), antidepressants (Elavil, Asendin, Anafranil, Norpramin), MAOI antidepressants (Marplan, Nardil, Eldepryl, Emsam, Zelapar), NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Naprosyn), clopidogrel (Plavix), diazepam (Valium), digoxin (Lanoxin), diuretics ('water pills'), linezolid, flecainide (Tambocor), medications for diabetes, lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid), medications for anxiety and Parkinson's disease, methylene blue, medications for mental illness (Clozaril, Haldol), medications for migraine (Axert, Relpax, Frova, Amerge), medications for seizures (Tegretol, Dilantin), sedatives, sibutramine (Meridia), sleeping pills, tramadol (Ultram), tranquilizers, and vinblastine (Velban).

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you if you experience seizures (convulsions or fits).

Try not to consume alcohol while using Malegra® DXT, as it can lower your blood pressure, causing dizziness and rapid heart rate (tachycardia).

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you suffer from or have history of cardiovascular disease, liver or kidney disorders, hypotension, leukemia, peptic ulcer disease, rhinitis, glaucoma, epilepsy.

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you have a history of fainting, mania (feeling overexcited, irritable or not being able to think clearly) or severe depression.

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you have inflammation or injury on the penis.

Do not take Malegra® DXT if you have recently undergone a surgery.

Malegra® DXT is not for use in women, children or adolescents under age 18 years.
